NEWBURGH – Four weeks into the new year the City of Newburgh has had its first murder.
Jermaine Cooper, 40, of the City of Newburgh was shot around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the area of 9 Hasbrouck Street and died at 2 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
