BOSTON — The Harvard Institute of Politics removed Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) from its Senior Advisory Committee in the wake of last week's deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol, pointing to her unfounded claims of voter fraud in the November election.

"Elise has made public assertions about voter fraud in November’s presidential election that have no basis in evidence, and she has made public statements about court actions related to the election that are incorrect," Harvard Kennedy School Dean Douglas Elmendorf wrote in a letter released Tuesday. "Moreover, these assertions and statements do not reflect policy disagreements but bear on the foundations of the electoral process through which this country’s leaders are chosen."

Only way to be anti-establishment these days is to be a conservative. Kinda hard to be edgy when you've got all the power.

I went to SUNY Binghamton (the so-called Ivy of the SUNYs). When Hakeem Jefferies (another alum) was elected to Congress they made such a big deal about it with all sorts of PR in the alumni magazine and in emails. It got annoying after a while. When I was elected to public office, not a peep.

Now I was elected to a local Town position which is very small potatoes so I didn't expect to have a big spread (Jefferies was the first alum to be elected to Congress so I kind of get the big congratulatory stuff) but only one of my old professors wrote to me to congratulate me and he was from my undergrad days. I studied Public Administration so I would've thought that my grad school professors would've at least acknowledged my accomplishments.

I often wonder if at least part of the reason that Jefferies got the accolades that he did was because he has "D" after his name and I have an "R". Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
