Recently, I attended a business conference at a Hilton Resort Hotel here in SC. Aside from the fact that the hotel was grossly overpriced and stuck us with a host of ridiculous extra fees, I was not happy to see a sign on virtually every entry / exit doorway declaring that concealed firearms were prohibited on the premises (even including the on premise parking garage, - so much for leaving your legal CCW in your vehicle if you chose to do that).
Now, as to those extra fees that were automatically added to every room...
$20 for breakfast (and it was pretty pathetic besides)
$25 per day parking
12% sales tax on everything
$30 "resort fee"
3% credit card processing fee
WIFI fee
Yeah, the per night room rate was advertised as $149, and ended up over $250 per night. And their going to tell me once I got there that I cannot continue to legally carry there? I just crossed Hilton Hotels off my list.
