When someone is home when some one breaks in it generally does go that good for one party or the other. That's why I use 357 as the first line of defense, 911 come afterwards because the average response time to 911 is 23 minutes. The response time for 357 is 1,400 feet per second.

Oh and this incident happened a week (or less than a week) after Elmira had 4 separate shootings (one fatal) early one Sunday (ie Saturday night into Sunday morning)

When I read about these kinds of incidents, it only confirms my decision to carry 24/7/365. Other than showering, or having sex, my EDC is on my person. And in the other situations, it is within a 3' reach. Always.

I may be an older guy, but all my plumbing is still in perfect working order. No need for additives, or any other assist devices...or any strap on devices! LOL!

Besides,- an ankle holster would interfere with my "move" (remember Seinfeld?). So, yeah, my other "piece" will have to remain nearby...on the bedside table!

Hate to see things like this happen. I work from home so I am alone all day every day in the house. Right next to my desk is a loaded AR. That along with Cameras covering 360* of the property gives me a fighting chance should I get picked.
