If she is referencing abortions then she has some twisted logic. These lunatics keep saying its "their body"; they are nothing more than a host for a living being inside them. That living being cant protect themselves so that only leaves the law to protect them. Late term abortions and abortions after the first trimester should be illegal, unless there is an immediate health risk of some sort.

All arguments on the subject aside, abortion is not an enumerated right like the second amendment is, it's just not, sorry. No amount of belly aching is going to change that. I feel more and more, like there are "core" rights, like the first and second amendments, which solidify a level of "basic" human rights against government. Then there are more specific issues that affect people on a less universal scale, but are no less important, such as abortion. My gripe is that the left picks and chooses and fails to see the bigger picture or more so, lacks the intelligence to realize the double standard and include freedoms which have immense human rights significance but don't fit their narrative, such as the second amendment.

Well, believe it or not, I appreciate people helping me with my grammar and spelling. I can see why some get insulted but I don't see it as an insult. I'd rather be tastefully corrected than go through life looking like an idiot. I do appreciate it @carloshathcock.

I have maintained all along that the medical procedure of "abortion" should be freely available, since there ARE medical necessities that might require the termination of a pregnancy.
However, there is also personal responsibility as well. Abortion should not be used as a contraceptive.
But, in the effort of 'fairness', I have been willing to come up with what I feel is an equitable compromise.
1st Trimester: anything goes. you want it gone, it's gone. At this point it is just an almost microscopic bunch of cells.
2nd Trimester: There should be a significant reason, proven with evidence, as to why the pregnancy needs to be terminated.
3rd Trimester: The only reasons I would suggest are serious birth defects, the kind that calls into question the ability for the fetus to survive, and/or medical risks to the mother. These need to be determined by no less than two or three doctors.
Quite frankly, a woman should know in three months whether or not she wants to keep her pregnancy, and she damned well should know within six months! If she can't decide by then, maybe she isn't ready, or qualified, to be a mother.
But, what this all boils down to is this:
Pushing to ban abortion will only get Democrats voted into power. This is probably THE hot-button topic to galvanize Democrats. Even worse than calling for the eradication of the 2nd Amendment would be to Republicans.
If Whoopie wants the government to stay out of her vagina, she needs to realize that same government needs to stay out of our safes.
Unlike many Democrats, I will NOT vote for a party that has infringed on my Rights. And, honestly, the chances of me knocking up some woman are very slim, and getting slimmer by the day, so abortion is not high on my priority list.

Im basically with all this. In regards to 2nd Trimester, IMO, at this point it should only be for medical reasons, or some crazy extra ordinary situations (like if a woman was raped, and held against her will for the first 3 months and had no access to medical care).

When I first joined this forum (the old place) almost 6 years ago, my grammar was absolutely horrible.
But until I joined this forum it really didn't create much of a problem for me. Anyways, after getting embarrassed
for the millionth time I asked the wife to teach me proper grammar. I also kind of studied how a few members
here structured there sentences.
My grammar isn't perfect but it is so much better than it used to be. And that is mostly because of the
grammar NAZI'S here calling me out at times... I thank them for doing that, seriously.
My old signature used to be... I hate grammar and grammar hates me.
To get back on track. Whoopie Goldburg and vagina should not, and I repeat, should not be mentioned in the same sentence.
