Well I talked to Ruger CS. Very friendly rep I was told to send it in and they’ll have a look. If it’s a part that can be swapped they will do it at no cost. Any involved repair il have to pay for. I’m going to ship it out tomorrow.

It's a take down barrel, of course it can be swapped! I would imagine it would be less expensive for Ruger to just give you a new barrel than it would be to have someone fix it. Even though they would then be charging you for the repair, I'll bet they have more important work orders to fix and will just swap out your barrel and ship it back to you. Fingers crossed!
I bet they send it back 100% fixed for free....if you haven't shot it yet then you should have told them it came like that.
@NYGuns is probably right. When I asked Daniel Defense about refinishing my rifle at my cost they asked me to fill out a service claim and they said they'd get back to me. After a few days they sent a return label with a note saying they would see what they could do. After they got it they called me and asked what color and Mlok or Keymod for the replacement rifle! Ruger also has a very good reputation for customer service so I wouldn't be surprised if they send it back a fixed up or replaced as a warranty repair.

^^ I sent in a second hand MK! that was made somewhere in the 70's , The firing pin broke and jammed so it fired out of battery blowing the grips off , the mag out and damaging the frame slightly. They fixed it all and replaced the mag and grips and sent it back NO CHARGE

Yep. If you would have wrecked your car, you would have felt worse. It’s only a barrel. One that you can afford easily if they charge you to replace it. Like many have said, “Shit happens.”

I agree shit happens. Just glad it was too and not me. I landscape on the side for my gun money and I had my kimber in a soft sided holster and I walked down the stairs fast. Gun flew out of the holster and skidded along the concrete basement floor. I was like shit. Picked it up and a few small scratches was all. I was surprised. I took super fine steel wool and you can barely see the scratches.
I know others who have scratches and damaged guns and was honest with the manufacturer and they were all repaired for free. Basically my FIL fucks with many things he shouldn’t so it was him damaging his guns a few times.
