Many of you may have seen this said in other threads, but now it's such major problem that an announcement needs to be made about it.
There are several members, that probably would be recognisable to you, at least one among our top posters but several others as well, that are stuck unable to log in and have no idea why their emails aren't being reponded to.
We're also getting consistant emails new members who sign up and never can finalize registration.
This thread is a good example to show that I AM responding, but people aren't getting them, and the reason..well, that remains completely unknown.
nygunforum.com
Anyway, point is, GMail is just simply sometimes blocking emails from our nygunforum.com domain. At first it seemed to be at random, but now it's happening more often than not. (and no , they aren't being sent to the spam folder or anything, at least not usually). I don't want to jump to any conclusions about conspiricy or anything, as this may simply be a technical issue somewhere...or maybe they want to screw a small gun forum.. who knows. To be fair, Google has yet to be contacted about this. I've said before that it's out of our hands, but now I've begun to wonder (for a reason) if it's something about the way our email server operates that google has decided they don't like...though that would be really odd that it started with only a few people and now has ramped up to most people.
The best solution for right now is probably to have an email that isn't a google Gmail and change it on your account, because if you do wind up needing password recovery (or notifications, or.. whatever) you are likely to not be able to get it with GMail. Important note: You can still send us email by GMail, it's simply that it'll be very possible (likely) we won't be able receive a reply.
I'll keep you all updated if something changes.
