Thank you Joe Biden. It’s a pilot for now but I’m sure it will be expanded. I paid for mine and my kids but now I get to pay for criminals.
I got one as well but I don’t think it covered the chemistry book I needed. The grant I received was a few hundred dollars.i got a Pell grant years ago .,. pretty Shure ..
i was recovering from electrical burns .. so went to collage while recovering
to learn more on electronic technology
but i had to pass the class or default on the grant

I do actually support that but I can tell you that will likely not happen to most of them. I have no issue with any help or social structure as long as we can see a direct benefit. By direct benefit I mean it makes financial sense or quality of life sense. I’d even support whatever it costs within reason to do something so there was no homeless on the streets. As long as there are requirements for keeping the grants like finishing the programs and having a certain GPA, I see very little issue with this. If inmates can learn a useful skill while incarcerated and leave prison and have a chance to get a job instead of return to a life of crime, why shouldn't we support that?
