This weekend Toledo Police Officer Anthony Dia responded to a call at Home Depot. He was shot in the chest on arrival. As he lay dying in the parking lot, he went on his radio with his last words, “Tell my family I love them”. He was a father of 2, husband and son.
I listened to the audio and it was heartbreaking. I tried to find this story on CNN and MSNBC but it was no where to be found.

What that @$$hole in Philly doesn't realize that if You replace 1000 cops with 1000 new "security" it will change nothing in the long run as there will still be some bad apples doing what the previous bad apples did. On a serious note there are various levels of dislike or like for the police. Some hate every aspect of them. Those are the ignorant ones that are calling for full defunding and disbanding. Then others only hate the blind gutting of the constitution by many of them for productivity and ego but realize that they are needed to prevent anarchy. Some members here love every aspect of them whether right or wrong because a family member is a cop. Some are buffs and wish they were a cop.
As with everything, there isn’t just 2 extreme sides to the right or left. There are various aspects of like and dislike.
For the most part, the American people support the police but disagree on the various aspects of what they should or shouldn’t be able to do.
My disagreements come from constitutional right’s violations, ego, and fishing. If that stops, I wouldn’t have any issues with them.

Pretty much what I was going to say. Don't defund the police, instead, defund the entire state and federal government. Avoid taxes whenever and wherever possible, especially in NY.
The only way to get enough people to stop paying their taxes, is to raise taxes so high that people are forced to decide between paying them or feeding their family. And to make a difference, those people must then be willing to stand their ground when the gov comes to take them and their shit.
They can print and borrow a lot of money, but not all of it.
