It’s 100% about control. The amount of lead that makes it to the ground on state land is so minuscule and the amount of that lead that makes it into any water is even smaller. The amount of that water that makes it into the NYC watershed is even smaller than that; an immeasurable amount. Not sure if this law is meant to protect against lead in the water, or lead in the meat.
Here are 3 studies that show there is no conclusive proof that lead from game meat is harmful to humans.
The only info I could find about water is that the absolute miniscule amount of lead that would find its way into water, would be EASILY removed by the most basic water treatment.....including a $2 pitcher filter.....not to mention the mega million dollar filtration that most drinking water goes through.
The major factors for lead in drinking water comes from old water pipes and solder flux used to connect pipes.
Funny it’s only about NYC water while fuck the rest of the state, right?
