Apparently we have nothing better to do and no other criminals to go after. Wow what a safe world we live in when this is the most important thing for the county sheriffs to handle.
Man arrested three times in a week…. For having too many bird feeders out??

Instead of 2 dozen feeders why doesn't he just have one or real big ones? Or he could 'slip' and drop all the food in the front yard, after all he is 71 years old.
Cops should be leaving him the F alone.
I'll bet people in Sodus Point are feeling safer today, without that "serial bird feeder guy" endangering everyone.
If those dipshit cops have nothing better to do, why don't they come up to The 'Hood and help our local PD.
No shit - after 7 PM, we have NO local PD on duty anymore - have to wait for Sheriffs or SP. I'll call Mr. 870 - he's on duty 24/7/365.
Seems the village can't pay the local PD enough, so after completing their time to justify sending them to the academy, they bugger off to better paying jobs.

My wife feeds the birds and I’m just waiting for the county to come give me a hard time. They will promptly be told get of my yard and off my property. My entire family loves it especially my wife. There’s a family of cardinals and they make her day and this got her through Covid and brought her joy.

We have at least one pair of cardinals that stay here all year. We got to see the juveniles at the feeder. Also have a nesting pair of bluebirds with little ones. And purple finches, hummingbirds, catbirds, pileated woodpecker, etc. We've managed to bring in more types of birds this year than I've ever seen, because of our feeders (three plus what we've planted to attract birds) and its a joy to see them and my kids go bonkers to see them up close. I dare anyone to say anything about having "too many" feeders out. Hell, I'm almost 40 and the first time I've ever seen a blue bird,the freaking state bird of NY, is this year in my back yard.
The guy is 71 years old. Let him enjoy watching the birds and leave him the hell alone.

about 10 years ago I put a rather large bird feeder in the backyard, at first I got a bunch of chicadees, cardinals, sparrows and the like. Then to pigeons found out about the free food, next thing I know I have about 3 dozen pigeons on, in and around the freaking thing and seed was gone in 30 minutes, I took it down and threw it away...........I HATE PIGEONS & Doves. They're sky rats, period ( along with Seagulls )

I wonder what the source of the ordinance is.
For example, putting out bird feeders where I live is a guaranteed way to have visits from bears. So far as I know, we don't have any limits on bird feeders here, it's one of those self-correcting problems.
