I largely agree and your line of thinking is what should be acceptable. For my life I don’t agree but I’m not dealing with my life. I would have about any kid I made unless it would kill my wife. Issue is a lot of the tests are wrong to tell if the baby will have major issues or not.

I know a family who was married late in life and they had a couple kids when they were what they call advanced maternal age. I think she had her last kid at 48-49. The last baby they said would have major issues and basically not be anything. The baby would love but have so many issues you wouldn’t want her to live. Other than being a little bratty she’s perfect and very intelligent. I’ve heard their story more than once. Maybe the tests have become better but the kid down the street from me was born at 24 weeks and other than a few minor issues is fine, graduated high school and doing well.
Maybe the tests are better now than they were but last I heard about 40-50% were wrong. That was from a prolife site so consider the source as well.

I would also advocate for carrying to term if it were one of mine... but I'm old fashioned enough to believe that a man should take responsibility for his actions and I really wanted to be a dad.
The missus and I were never successful which is probably for the best. WAY too many genetic issues in both our families.
I'll just have to find someone who thinks like I do to leave my stuff to after I'm gone. :)

My middle daughter is beginning to see the light precisely because of that religious attitude. To the liberals it's not enough to be mildly on their side. The whole silence = acceptance notion where you must publicly and loudly agree with them or else you are a fascist, racist, sexist homophobic bla bla bla.

Yes it is a Religion. A Satanic one. Next they want everyone to accept and normalize Beastiality, Child porn and other ungodly stuff.
