I hate how the headline and the first paragraph mention God and guns... then you get to the third paragraph and they finally give you his whole statement:
"Pizza, guns, drums, music, family, and God. This pretty much sums up my life. It’s a pretty good life.”
Of that list, God and guns seem least likely to have made him into a homicidal maniac.
Another point I noticed - they made sure to mention the surge of violence against Asian Americans. Maybe I got the wrong impression but I thought most of that surge has been Black on Asian violence? Assuming that is the case, if they're going drag race into it (and real journalists shouldn't without evidence of motive) they should paint the full picture.
