It is meant to replace the slide plate on a Glock (and in a couple of months, S&W M&Ps) to allow easier gripping. This guy has some cool products; I have already have one of his 'Tripwire' charging handles (Gen 1, I have a Gen 2 on order* to use with my BulletGuy lower) and he puts a lot of thought into his products.
He also has a 3D printed scope lever for preorder - R3 Universal Scope Throw Lever – Sintercore
* = His charging handles are a little pricey, but they compete with the 'Raptor/Geissele' ambi-charging handles. I haven't extensively tested the Gen 1 I have (supposedly the Gen 2s are even better with new Cerakoting) but it is definitely light and smooth.
