Newest ar pistol build finished!

Finally completely finished a build with everything I wanted on it.

Scored a very lightly used psa 10.5" upper for $100. Gas block was loose and I suspect this is why I got it so cheaply. Easy fix. 12" lightweight mlok handguard with magpul afg and a slim fluted flash can. Magpul mbus buis.

Anderson lower with spikes parts kit, Fab defense magwell grip, dd's mag Lok, hogue grip, and a new compmag to eliminate top loading, and make it possible to clear malfunctions.

Sig sb15 brace on a kak extended supertube.

To finish it off, these last parts came in this week.

Timney skeletonized competition single stage trigger at 3lbs. What else to say? This is awesome.



And to top it off my new holosun hs510c just came in. This is the perfect dot if you ask me. Priced decent, 50,000 hour battery life, auto awake, and the three super crisp reticles choices holosun has become known for. I already have an unused holosun 503 I was going to use, so was a bit hesitant to buy this one, but in my opinion the huge fov on this 510 was well worth the upgrade.


Now I just need to make some time to zero it in.

Tried to get a picture of reticle, but it's impossible on my phone. This is the cleanest reticle I have seen and the picture makes it look bad, but at least you can see the very slight discoloration of the glass. It's very minimal.

It appears I may not be done with this build after all. I bought this upper used at a great price, and thought I'd be happy with the 10.5 barrel. The problem I'm having is the rail is 12" so the barrel has a flash can to extend past the rail. That's fine with me also as I like the extra rail real estate.

So because I'm on the net too much I ran into this thread.

Since I have the 12" rail, I'm seriously considering going up to a 12.5" barrel. It appears jumping from 10.5 to 12.5 may be well worth the much improved velocity.

Here's a quote for those who don't want to read through the thread.

"It seems the biggest jump I got in velocities was from 11.5" to 12.5" barrels. Going from 12.5" to 14.5" still shows an increase, but the rate of increase actually slowed for many of the loads."

Also picked up a cheap bipod for shooting because of the long mag. Not bad for $27, I actually really like it.

By the way putting a bipod on a pistol is implying that you had intended to shoulder your brace...which shows intent to circumvent SBR tax stamp. I would suggest you remove the bipod....otherwise looks awesome! And yes I know that "shouldering" your brace is ok with the ATF...as long as you didnt intend to bypass SBR tax stamp

They can suck a bag of dicks. I had no intention to circumvent a tax stamp and that's all anyone needs to know. The bipod is so I can set the pistol on a bench to fire, same as any other rest.

The Ruger Charger does not have a brace on it. "For purposes of this analysis, I am going to assume that we are dealing with a pistol that has an overall length less than 26 inches"
since I was the individual that the ATF met up with to deem my AR 15 pistol having a legal fixed magazine other issues were discussed....and the last thing I would do is put a bipod on an AR 15 pistol with a brace on it...I have no issues personally with the OP bipod and brace....my ATF examiner would have an issue with it

How does it show intent to shoulder the brace (which is legal)

If anything it shows that he would want a stable way to shoot the gun one handed off a bench, which last I checked doesnt automatically make it a rifle

irrelevant it is a pistol with a bipod. You are still fear mongering.
