The scary thing is that public opinion drives politics. At one time Obama was dead set against gay marriage. Public opinion changed and so did the politician's. This is no different. Our culture and social acceptance are changing. We will be freight trained soon enough

I'm glad you dug down to find 66% ( but sadly only 66% ) in the USA said "no".
Canada had 96% say "yes" with 15 thousand votes cast. That surprised me. Were software robots voting in Canada, or is that really how Canadians think?
