It’s real. It’s on Cuomos twitter page and he’s supporting it or came up with it. Make no mistake this is the route of disarmament of the populace. What does a mos heaving kid have to do with the shooting up the school? There seems to be no connection. There are many kids that misbehave and don’t shoot up schools. Also many loner kids that aren’t trouble shoot in the schools. Also my guns are locked up at all times. Why remove them?

This is why I demand that adults with no children should not be forced to pay "school taxes". Why should I have to be forced to support these illegal attempts to infringe my Rights, while also paying for some other schmuck's kid. They wanted it, they can pay for it!

I've said this once, and I'll say it again. So long as other members of the union continue to ignore examples of tyranny against the bill of rights, in places like NY and CA, then there is no union. One day, when TX, PA, and many other pro-2A states find themselves in the same situation -- with tyrants running their states -- it will be too late. There will be no other states too and up and say "No, you cannot do that. You're violating the rules of the union (the bill of rights.)" There will be no rescue for them when the last pro-2A states become tyrannical as well.

Thankfully, my kids are grown, but this crap reeks of that old communist tactic of turning in your family members, friends, and neighbors behind their backs.
That, and virtually every single teacher or other public school employee or administrator I know are all full blown anti gun libs. I don't see this happening to the point of overwhelming the courts, but I think it will definitely happen way too often.
The typical scenario will likely be some anti 2A teacher who will quiz her kids to find out who has firearms in the home, and then the first time little Johnny acts up, she will be filing on his parents. The cops will show up, seize all of the parents firearms without ANY due process, and that will be the last time they see their property.
I am so damn glad I am almost out of FUAC's shithole. It gets worse by the day.

We already have this. PO'ed wife, girlfriend, sister, live-in, significant other, etc filed a Petition for Order of Protection. Court issues Ex parte order. (just based on his/her word). Court immediately issues order under FCA 842 suspending pistol license, confiscation of all guns. Family Court must hold hearing within two weeks. (due process requirement) Then family court determines Petition was bull shit. Order is vacated. Under 842 the prohibition of possession of firearms ends. But same law that gives court power to order suspension and confiscation does not give court power to reinstate or order return of guns. Now cops have guns and will not return them. There is no "due process" with regards to police retention or suspension of license. We have three cases pending with these issues with another to be filed. There are already two District Court decisions and a Second Circuit Decision saying that a "prompt post deprivation hearing" before a "neutral party" is required, but the cops ignore these federal court decisions and keep on doing the same thing.
Not only that, but the Nassau County Pistol License office says that the prohibition of possession of long guns stays in effect as long as the pistol license is suspended and it stays suspended as long as they like. So according to them, they can not only deprive you of you pistols on a whim, but of possession of any guns.This is an incorrect interpretation of the law, but who wants to risk arrest and prosecution with the hopes that a NY judge will give a gun owner justice?

Why don't the teacher's union get teacher's to report to Social Services the names of children who come in hungry on a monday morning instead of the working class donating to feed them(wegman's backpack) over the weekend. That's child abuse in the first class area as far as I'm concerned.

I don’t think it will go Anywhere, but I’d have likely said the same about the safe act. The safe act woke me up and got me involve. Maybe this will have the same effect. Might be too late at that point.
The issue is NYC runs this state. That’s not an excuse or anything else. NYC has about 45% of NYS population. How do you fight that? We need to work on splitting NYC and NYS then we can have some grassroots politics and get something done. With us attached to NYC I fear we are basically helpless.
I do feel if cuomo gets put up against Nixon he may loose. Also if she is close in the primary I think she will run as a third party candidate. I’d like to think that would split the vote and a repuke might win. How much stock I hold in nys republicans is not much honestly. I think it will at least hold the erosion steady.

Cynthia Nixon is making some noise but I think that FUAC is going to be the Governor of NYS until he no longer wants to be.
Between Cuomo's corruption, connections, and the NYC voters. I just don't see him going anywhere any time soon.

A family down the road from me has 5 kids in school. The wife and myself never had any kids but we are still
on the hook to pay school taxes just the same as the family with the 5 school kids down the road...

A friend of mine has a little boy in school. This little boy is on the spectrum (I think that is what it is called) and he
has been known to create a disturbance in the classroom... I'm going to have to warn my friend about this crap.

You make some really interesting points here. I wish molinaro or however you spell it was getting his name out there more. I think Nixon has a chance of catching an ego and running third party and splitting the left vote, giving Marc at least a semblance of a chance. And from what I’ve seen he’s pretty strongly pro gun.
If Nixon does run third party I think Cuomo will probably focus on her more since she is a bigger threat. Maybe Marc can slide undetected and secure upstate? Idk, all conjecture
