Just enforce the damned laws, prosecute and jail felons! Forget the ridiculousness of Justice System Diversity, what the fuck does that mean anyways! Lol

Again, no need for new or additional laws, what is being done is already unlawful. But hey, everything in nature has an equal and opposite reaction. The de-fund movement is now bearing fruit... And the drain on LE personnel is only going to exacerbate the issue going forward. I loved the recent video of the protestors interrupting not only the trains, but taking hostage passengers trying to disembark, all while the uniformed NYCTA officer stood right there and let it happen! This is the new normal... And here, these retailers expect some special status? Lmfao! Oh ok...

Message is clear, you're on your own! Just close shop, pack it up and leave, fuck NY shitty and all the progressive policies that have permeated living and life there, it's only going to get worse, not better! Why fight and try to fox what's unfixable... When the Manhattan DA refuses to prosecute felons, but goes after headline cases based upon celebrity or diversity, all hope is lost. Leave em to their own folly!

Is a shame, but it's going to be years upon years of extraordinary effort to fix it, if at all. San Francisco has been on this downward slide for a long time and see where it is today. NY is competing to claim top prize in this theatre! Good Luck!

"New Laws" - either the shop owners are idiots or the author is. Existing laws would take care of it but they are not being enforced because they CANNOT be enforced. Even Whorechul's "win" on Bail Reform was totally empty because the only thing it accomplished was to remove the "least restrictive" mandate on Judges for SERIOUS OFFENSES. Shoplifting is not serious. Even if a shoplifter violently resists someone trying to stop them it's not going to be considered serious. Only if they cross the line to felony assault will it make a bit of difference. Maybe these shop owners should have a conversation with their community and their representatives to figure out why THEY VOTED FOR THIS SHIT OVER AND OVER AGAIN? But no - cry to Albany, solve the problems we demanded you create because equity and race. They got what they asked for and it wasn't what they wanted. Go figure.

This issue is passed the point of repair.

Two viable options at this point that I can see, maybe three...

1. Close the store/business and leave the area.

2. Close and lock the doors to the business and only allow in the people that you want in.

3. Take a serious look at security and step up the game plan.

I am a firm believer that a business owner should be able to open choose who is and who is not allowed in their store. Based upon any reason at all.

The 2A has never applied on private property.

What NY did was flip the traditional default and gave it new teeth: guns allowed unless otherwise specified (violation = trespassing) --> guns not allowed unless otherwise specified (violation: felony).

Violence or threat of violence during a larceny is a robbery.

Pretty sure thats still an arrestable offense. If only the DA would prosecute as such

Well, that may be partially true, but you dismiss much of it.

The Manhattan DA is NOT prosecuting cases! Forget the Judges hands being tied, because it doesn't matter of you don't prosecute. Plus, seeing as half the felonies are even prosecuted, there's something like 2/3 of those who fail to come back to court at all, and eventually, because the DA claims his office does not have the resources to follow up or chase these miscreants, those cases get dismissed too...

So riddle me this, what's a career criminal supposed to do when the house door is left open, the homeowner is sitting on the couch but doesn't care as you're walking out with his property? He's going to empty the house right! Same goes for NY Shitty... It's open season and every skell knows it and is taking full advantage. The Judge is just one little part of the program, lolz.

NYC residents are in full control of their future through their elections. They should stop complaining as they voted for all of it. They also voted for a one time pimp messenger runner for mayor.

I don't live there nor would I ever offer or force my opinion on anyone living there. I also wouldn't force my values on them either. Let NYC, NY, CA and the rest of the shit holes be a representation of the residence living there. Don't like living there? Move. It really is that simple. Our ancestors sacrificed more in there lives.

The point is, if they were prosecuted, we wouldn't need new laws.

If they aren't being prosecuted, then it doesn't matter *what* new laws you pass (short of something like allowing people to defend themselves properly).

You can make shoplifting a capital offense, if the DA won't prosecute it won't matter.
