*Class Description: This is a must have class if you keep a firearm for self-defense in New York State. This course gives the trainee a unique knowledge of the State's "Use of Force Law" and aids in the decision of whether or not to employ force and what force is justified under specific circumstances. The responsibility to make proper decisions regarding the "Use of Force" is an ever-present reality and is not lessened by the fact the armed citizen must make these decisions under the worst of circumstances. *Additional information in the registration link.
*Instructor's Credentials:
-Mr. Ken Cooper: Is a recognized Use of Force expert, qualified by New York State Supreme Court, Brooklyn Supreme Court, U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Division, Florida Circuit Court and the High Court in Hong Kong. Having consulted and testified in over 100 Use of Force cases, including the "Amadou Diallo" Trial in 2000. Ken is also the author of the "Ulster County Safety Program" for the NY State Pistol License.
-Mr. John Jenerose: Has recently retired from the City of Newburgh as a Police Officer, has been a New York State Firearms and General Topics Instructor for the past 24 years, he's an FBI trained forensic photographer and has used his skills in a number of court cases.
