NYS Employee Mandatory Testing for Unvaccinated

Everyone's heard about the healthcare workers getting mandated for COVID19 Vaccination (and fighting it in courts), but state employees that are part of the Executive Branch (of which I'm a part of, as an employee of Dept of Corrections & Community Supervision) were told they had until the end of September to be vaccinated or be subject to weekly testing.

We got the e-mail/announcement this past Tuesday (10/12), saying our first COVID test was due in 7 days (10/19). Further information on how to do the testing was "forthcoming". Well they send that information yesterday in the last few minutes of the work day.

Basically: They have contracts with testing facilities in every county in NYS (Quest Diagnostics for my area); you can test in person (but they're only open Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm and closed an hour for lunch) OR have a test kit sent to your house and you mail it back. All testing is no charge however you won't be reimbursed for doing any testing/submission outside of work.

I made the account this morning and requested the at-home test kit, and the site said it would arrive in 3-5 business days. I would then return my cat's sample with prepaid packaging, wait an estimated 24+ hours for it to arrive at lab, another 24 hours for testing and they e-mail me the results. Then I need to submit that to a state-run website which I'm sure is highly secure. Somehow I don't think I'm making the 10/19 deadline, heh...

@Darth you still with the state? Anyone else?

BTW ,.. if covid is so deadly .. why are there not any 1 dolla tests at the dollar store .. where i got my prego test at lol

My buddy is in the healthcare field in NY and has until Nov 1. He's not doing it and is filing for invoking exemption. I have until Nov 22. ALSO not doing it and invoking exemption. I'm willing to lose my job over this outright immoral nonsense and my principles will remain in tact and are not for sale. It looks like everything will come down to title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and making accommodations for employees to prevent undue hardship. I would recommend everyone who's job is on the line look into doing an exemption.

You really should have to say anything other than, I have a religious issue with the vaccine. That should be end of story.

This will not end with Fed or State employees. It will come to traveling down the road with a passport.
Groceries will require a passport.
Utilities will require a passport for its customers.
So on and so on.

In the mean time they're pushing for a cashless society, like they have been for decades. I can see it now..... "Don't touch that dirty money."
In fact, a couple months ago, I was at a convenience store grabbing beverages during my break. This was in an uppity snobby neighborhood.
Lady walks in wearing her muzzle device exclaiming, "They're washing the pennies." She grabs her crap to purchase and asks the cashier, "Did you know they're washing the money?" I've known from the beginning this would happen. Where she got her brain washing from is beyond me. This was, and so far is, the only time I've heard of someone bringing this into conversation. The sheeple will continue to follow the flock.

Shits going to get ugly, and the fan is on medium. The economy is crashing. As discussed in other threads, oil is going up some 30%, inflation is skyrocketing, and the feds just keep printing more paper rectangles. The biggest agenda on Fuck Joe's administration, and China's, is more gun banning. So what's the big picture here? At some point, those who value it, are all going to have to stand up for liberty and freedom. And then, bleed for it.

Been my prediction as well for some time. I see no other possible future. The lies have become too big to abandon. They now have to ride the train to the end of the line.
