This does not sound like he lied on the 4473. did he put "hochul slave" down for profession and got caught?

When guns are involved, they will start making up anything to do to inconvenience you. Even if 100% wrong, or an "oooops, my bad", it still impacts the person.
A friend recently had an issue where he got pulled over in some little town, and the local cop got them for speeding (5 over) and incorrect class of plates on vehicle. Which didn't make any sense because it is a personal vehicle (not commercial/for-hire), and it was a sedan not even a pickup truck. His only options were to pay out ($600) or go to court on the date on the ticket. So he goes to court, and the judge looked at who issued the ticket, and looked at the charges, and asked him why he was going so fast. He was truthful, and the judge also asked him what the deal was with the plates, he told him it was a car, not a truck. The judge shook his head, and just knocked everything off.
It was the point that he had to drive 250+ miles both ways back to this little ass town, and then deal with the court for half the day, and then, drive all the way back home. It was an all day affair...
