Opinions on the "AR Maglock"

Ran into this on AR 15 forum. Manufacturer claims it makes rifle NY compliant as it will not accept a mag w/o pushing out the rear pin and opening the upper from the lower. Once you "unhinge" the rifle a mag may be removed/inserted. Clever engineering but will it pass the CUM-O test ?

Daniels defense is using it to be CA compliant.

ARMaglock AR-15 .223/5.56 (CA & NY Compliant)

Wondering if you showed up at range with it installed and 10 10 round mags ------ well ?
