Opinions on this holster I'm considering - talk me out of it or convince me it's worth it

Forget that it says left hand, I'll be getting a right handed one.

I want an OWB holster for my P30. I've been looking for a while, and this one intrigues me. I won't be wearing it a lot, so I don't need to spend more than what this already costs. I'll be wearing it for range days and also while camping.

The locking feature is interesting, and if you watch the video on their website, it's adjustable to different weapons, so that's appealing as well.

What do you guys with other holsters or more experience with OWB setups see/think/have to say?

I'd say either convince me solidly one way or another. If not, I'll just bring my pistol while camping, I just won't be able to wear it, which is a different discussion.

I have one and I like it very much. It's not concealable but you are not looking for a primary conceal carry rig. I got mine from like $35 new about a year ago. Check the ebay.

Good point. It was cheaper on Amazon and even 1 day shipping is still cheaper than getting it at the store

My only issue here is that he's carrying openly. Open carry should use a proper retention holster. For concealed carry, you shouldn't have the situation in the video. Because when you draw, the assailant shouldn't be right behind you while you stand there exposing your OWB pistol.

Correct. I won't be using this in public unless I'm at the range or maybe not even then. The nice thing about this though, is that it has a belt loop attachment, if I ditch the paddle.

I have to say though, I tried this thing on yesterday, and I absolutely love it. It's very comfortable and it adjusts quickly and easily. For the time being, I'm using the paddle, it was just so comfortable to wear, I barely noticed it was there.

Eventually I'll try the belt attachment, but even with this attached to it, it looks like you could break it off the belt attachment the same way, since the paddle and belt attachment are secured the same way.

I gotta say, after wearing this around camp for a week, I love this holster. I keep the paddle because it feels so comfortable, and with the new belt, it's a solid setup. The release trigger is intuitive and there, it really releases with almost no thought. Was nice to have something right there while we were out in the bush, it was reassuring.
