Sounds like this was a complete and udder disaster. Oregon is set to make drugs criminal again since residents are sick of people using drugs and dying on the streets. California is set to make it a requirement to have a drug test for public aid. Freaking crazy liberals can’t even make up their mind.

They should absolutely uphold existing laws when people break them, which would, in turn, lock up those who cannot control themselves. If you drink from the bottle, you're responsible for what comes next.

I've been bitching for years about drug testing welfare recipients. Most companies test you to get a job so why shouldn't you be trsted to get taxpayer assisted living.

End welfare. Open up warehouses in every city that provide quality staple foods that anyone can come pick up, no qualifications necessary, no applications, no nothing. Potatoes, rice, beans, maybe some zucchini or something. Walk out with whatever you need.

By eliminating all of the overhead, the cost of welfare would be a tiny fraction of what it is today. And no one could complain about having to go hungry.

The problem is from what I’m hearing is it’s way out of hand. Drug use and overdoses regularly right in the streets. Homeless people all over theft rampant and retail stores closing because people are afraid to come shop downtown.
If you legalize hard addictive drugs it’s almost like the government is condoning it saying it’s safe and we all know it’s not. Even weed with more research they are finding it’s really bad for you with increased cancer and heart disease risks.

Decriminalized Drug possession or use wasn't such a bad idea. But the logistics in carrying out the agenda is, was ...

Couple it with bail Reform and THAT is the disasterous policies that have taken hold. The State no longer wants to prosecute or house convicts... They'd rather them be on the street, which they are! Same for those who are not fit to be in society due to mental issues but are no longer institutionalized, they too are out on the streets.

Law Enforcement is just the tip of the iceberg... The JUSTICE SYSTEM is designed to institute one of two things... Reformative action to try and create a responsible citizen who can exist in Society and learn the lesson of their mistake and prevent recidivism. Or Punitive action, to make an offender of societal norms PAY for their transgressions! Regardless of their ability to re-enter society after their debt has been paid!...

It's apparent the former is not working, no matter how hard the tree hugging criminal migrant coddlers want to deny it. Reformative Justice does not work... And career criminals laugh their asses off each yup their hand slapped and let go, back into society that they care little about. They just do what they do and keep doing it...

Just because someone is on drugs does not mean they get a pass for breaking the law.

There are two separate things. The government has no business giving permission regarding our bodies, period. It is not their domain. If I want to poison myself, that is my choice to do so.

Taxpayer funded safety net free housing, food cellphone etc for the users.
911 for the OD taxing an already overwhelmed system in many areas paid for by us.
Free Narcan paid for by us.
Free ER visit / hospital stay ( paid for by the rest of us)
