Last year they got all scared of AG James and refused to sell stripped or completed uppers to NYS. They still won’t ship lowers, even to an FFL, but they’ve relented on legal uppers now.Hold the phone, why did they not sell them before?
Little sympathy for those that abandon us because "laws R hard."Last year they got all scared of AG James and refused to sell stripped or completed uppers to NYS. They still won’t ship lowers, even to an FFL, but they’ve relented on legal uppers now.
Agreed. I stopped buying anything from PSA when they turned their back on us here. I think it’s interesting they finally noticed how ignoring NYS customers was expensive enough to change their position on uppers.Little sympathy for those that abandon us because "laws R hard."
I might could be convinced to strongly consider thinking about acquiring one of those if they indeed become available.WOW!
Wonder if they're going to offer any 1/2" Rock Drills?
Reminds me of the lady from the NRA trying to get me to re-up. I asked why I should send you money when you do absolutely nothing for New Yorkers while the state takes away our God given rights! She lectured me on how the people here should get organized and fight for our rites. Me: uh, ma'am, then just what exactly is the NRA, and the ILA? She cluelessly began her pitch again over my laughing out loud.Last year I wanted to get one of their 10mm's before I moved. But they wouldn't ship a 1911 to NY. I even called them and asked why. The lady's response " We are not able to send firearms to where they are not legal to own" I told her, but it's a 1911, with an 8 round mag, it is in fact legal to ship to NY, there is nothing in the books that is preventing PSA to ship it. The lady fell silent and then again told me " We are not able to send firearms to where they are not legal to own"
Good, my experience at their storefront last year in SC matches.
Last year I saw a deal on a red dot and 10 mags. Package deal. They didn't have any packages out, but had hundreds of the mags and red dots. Same skus as the bundle. I asked them if they'd give me the same price. Absolutely not. "It has to be bundled. " I told them I'm willing to work with them and leave today with the purchase, just looking for a price match of your own inventory. Nope, they just looked through me.
Sounds like they're a shit company all around then.
So you’re saying the ATF and Merrick Garlaind made PSA refuse to ship non-regulated upper receivers (stripped or complete) to New York state residents, but Garland/ATF said it was ok for those “42 other states”?I'm on the fence with stuff. If I could sell without worry to 42 other states which a healthly pool of enthusiasts I might waiver too. Plus read between the lines. It may not have been James. It may have been Garland and the ATF under Biden.
The five of you boycotting probably isn't going to exactly bankrupt them when their market share only continues to grow.
Not at their Summerville SC store.PSA requires photo ID from everyone to buy ammo at their brick & mortar store in Denver, NC.
Try it with a NYS drivers license.
Nope.

A sample size of one does not make an entire company.
Listen, I'm not saying they're perfect. I've had great luck with all my PSA stuff.
Yeah, true, but a sample size of 10 is still better than 1.Love it.
That employee takes a dump in my latte? Going to swear off the company.Yeah, true, but a sample size of 10 is still better than 1.
You to a Dunkin donuts. One employee is a dick to you. That doesn't mean that Dunkin is a dick company.

What you have to realize is the person you were talking to was in a Professional Call Center or at least a "work from home" caller; they're given some training and a script to follow, their job is to sign you up or get you to commit to re-upping...the Product (Association) is irrelevant, it could be subscriptions, Warranties, matter not, only that they sell you. Those Letters you get with multiple pages containing offers, bombastic and inspirational wording, well those are also professional marketing with the intent to get you to part with your money for whatever they're offering...Best feature on my phone is it will not ring or notify of messages if the number is not in my contacts (or one I called/messaged) there's a dozen this week to block and delete, spoofing local numbers is a thing too: you see a call from a Town near you thinking it might be legitimate, but it's not, and no message, zero chance of a call back.Reminds me of the lady from the NRA trying to get me to re-up. Not funny but sometime you have to laugh in the face of the absurd. An way, I quit with PSA years ago over what they would and wouldn't send to Shithole USA.
Robin
Company the size of PSA likely has a Law Firm on retainer or in constant contact, reviewing the ever changing Laws of ALL the States, Territories, and any place else they could legally ship to: Given the difficult understand Laws that change from the way they're announced to the way they are actually written, ambiguity, and localities changing things, not to mention the common association of NY and NYC being the same, it's no wonder they blanket refuse sales to NY. In years past like the First AW Ban and NY's spin on it, I contacted a few of the Surplus/parts/C&R/ammo folks when they got spooked and wouldn't ship to NY addresses, pretty much they changed course at least until the dysfunction know as the New York State Legislators got creative again.Hmm, wondering if they will ship this to NYS:
