No chance in hell of NY ever going Red... ENTIRELY TOO MANY liberals and recipients of Government aid/Low-Income families. Gotta remember 60-70% of the population of the entire state lives in the NYC Metro Area and 79% of THAT population is Liberal Dems... Even if EVERY voter outside of NYC were to vote red it would still never match NYC's Blue vote. Best bet is to GTFO of Dodge!!! FUCK NY!

The reason why they win is because they're concentrated down in NYC. Flip NYC, and you flip all the surrounding votes in your favor and keep their voting block solidly blue.

But if you spread them out, among the conservative areas, their votes may go wasted -- just like ours have for many years. It just matters how many of them disperse upstate vs moving out of state if that happens. If they spread out nice in thin, they'll destroy their voting power.

What I do find hilarious is that these demonrat asshats leave California and NYS because the costs get so prohibited yet they vote the same way in places like Virginia, Texas, and Idaho to turn where they fled to into where they fled from. Even if va and tx turn blue it will only be because of a slight majority and in liberal urban enclaves. Those states have an established identity of being red. Outside of the liberal enclaves I doubt anything would change

Well, my wife has a friend who lives on Long Island. Her father was one of FUACs nursing home victims. He had a week left of rehab when they put an infected patient in his room.

She made some comments about how stupid that was. She also said she thought FUAC was awesome and should run for president

Couldn't be more true. Look at the counties that voted for Cuomo in the last gubernatorial election, and those that didn't. He carried, correct me if I'm wrong, less than 10 counties yet won the election, and those were the counties that surrounded NYC.

I disagree... I know A LOT of NY Liberals, either in my own personal life, the job, and beyond... Every single one of them is hoodwinked into thinking FUAC is the "Shit"! They even try to justify the actions by referring to the "Boston Tea Party" as proof that riots are needed to exact change. To the point where I have actually started to cut them out of my circles... Even assuming EVERY voter outside of the 5 boroughs voted Red, which will NEVER happen when you consider the Blue % count of the population of the 4 largest Non-NYC counties...WESTCHESTER which is Blue by a 2 to 1 margin so 66% Blue with almost 600k voters, Nassau, with 1M voters is at 1.5 to 1 Blue to Red, Suffolk is almost even with the advantage to Blue and 980k voters, and Erie with another 600k at 2 to 1 for the Blue. So you would have to turn 29% of ALL NYC current Blue voters to Red, PLUS all those other county residents just to have a SHOT at turning this state Red. You are literally talking more than 3.5 MILLION voters would have to switch... That is never going to happen... In fact... The ONLY Red county south of Dutchess is Putnam... Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, and Rockland... All Majority Blue...

Unfortunately those who will remain, until retirement as I will have to, will be amongst those who you consider dumbass half wits. Do you reside in NY? Will you be leaving? Many of us here reside in the state, sometimes without choice due to circumstances beyond our control. And I personally find most people on this forum to be well educated with very well rounded views on many different topics. Even in disagreement, the counter points can be insightful spurring solid debate using facts. This isn't the hallmark of so called "dumbass half wits ". My .02

California at least has the State of Jefferson project going on. It’s going nowhere fast, but you wouldn’t know it by how many of their bumper stickers you see up north of Redding all the way into Southern Oregon.

Texas is turning blueish for a lot of reasons, not just internal migration. Having been in Texas now for 15 years myself, it’s kind of interesting. Hispanics are a very big minority here, and whatever you might think of Trump, he’s provoked a hornet’s nest here among Hispanics. The GOP has never done a good job of reaching Hispanics on their natural meeting point of thriftiness, hard work, and social conservatism; but now Hispanics actually feel threatened by Trump and are feeling like they are forced to become more politically active - and blue. I am married to a Salvadoran woman, and that’s what I’m hearing. And at least according to Texas pundits, the Bloomberg money isn’t having a big effect here.

The majority (not all but a HUGE chunk) of Blue is all lower-income in NYC, and that's the MAJORITY of voters by a 4 to 1 margin... The rest of the state is around 2 to 1 Blue... The people leaving NY altogether... Well, they are the REDS who have had ENOUGH of this shit... The Corporations, the Upper Execs... The top 10-15%, They are the ones fleeing the state... They are the ones who can afford to leave... The exodus from NYC... That's liberals moving to outlying counties... All they are doing is increasing the number of Blues in the already liberal counties of the Hudson Valley and LI... And guess what.... Next year when my wife retires... I will be joining the rest of those Reds in PA, Kentucky, WV, or wherever... I’d honestly like it if folks left both parties en masse. They expect you to tell your friends how awesome they are, but remain concerned about little other than their DC circle jerk, getting re-elected, and generally anything other than actually doing good for We The People.
