In fact, just go turn yourself in to the nearest federal penitentiary and save us the trouble of coming to get you. Your dog might live longer if you do.

In reality, the entire GCA and NFA should be repealed as unconstitutional. Then the ATF should be eliminated.

1) make an arm brace without the dopey strap that nobody uses.
2) market it as a slip-on eye protector for AR pistols, so the buffer tube can't poke your eye out.

You don’t really need to at all. I’ve shot my buddys AR pistol 2 handed like I do my glocks, with my cheek resting against the buffer tube for a cheek weld, and one handed with a sling attached tight ala HK MP5K style. All three shooting styles did not require shouldering the pistol at all, and I was able to make fast accurate shots on target at 25 yards. Unless the AR pistol is in a large bore caliber (450, 458 or 50 ) you are just fine.
with all that said I staunchly believe braces should be legal however you want to use them

One could and it is very doable. This new "regulation" however also makes mention of shoulder-able surface area, which of course is not defined. The bare buffer tube could fall into that category. Who knows?

They're going to have to put sharp points on pistol length buffer tubes to keep them legal soon LOL.
By this time next year people will be JB Welding thumb tacks to the back.
Now, maybe what we need are "barrel protectors" that slide on the muzzle and have a nice flat surface, and just conveniently are also the right size to slide over a buffer tube if you flip them around....

i'm thinking of buying a brace and put it on my mosin and see what hell it causes LOL ..

And they need to sue for more than just getting these "rules" overturned. Start making these 3-letter agencies bleed green.

On a good day, without an impending onslaught of thousands of new requests it takes ATF >6 months to process IF you're not delayed, and by the way after 88 days in Delay it automatically becomes a DENIAL and now YOU are in possession of and unregistered and untaxed NFA weapon (remember that penalty of Ten Years and/or $10,000 Dollars?) Not coming after you? Haven't got one? Well you did send pictures of said weapon, your name, address, and fingerprints....Yea, we won't arrest you, (now) but we are confiscating your guns and making you a prohibited person unless you want to take your chances in Court, and if so, we're going to arrest, charge, and process you, and since its a Federal Offence you'll have to post Bail (if the Judge decides to set Bail)
