I agree with this and the Fort Knox boxes as well with only 5 buttons on them. You can google these safes and every possible combination is in an excel spreadsheet and can be gone through in 15 minutes or less. Little kids not an issue but teenagers it’s a no go. Go digital with more buttons as the digital numbers can be reused. I like the vaultek safes as well. I don’t have one be side my kids are older and it’s not needed but if I had young teenagers or young kids this would be my go to. You can get alerts on your phone if the safe is disturbed.

I'll have to dig into this subject more. I actually have a key safe with our docs in it now that could work. I also have a book safe, but that only fits one.

Also before buying, do a quick search to see if there are videos such as LPL's out there on bypassing it especially if you have teenagers.

Though, I know times have changed, my parents would have random guns all over the house. I knew not to touch them. Good and bad could've come from that, especially if we had a robber come in and use one of them against us. Something I don't do, but I keep what I need in a discreet location.

I've used some of their Magnets, and lockable boxes to mount/cable in Vehicles...We have a Three year old that can climb (and run) better than she can walk, I DO keep guns secure and up high, at least until I saw this:

Good, this is the only way.
Teach your children from the start on gun safety; my dad fixed we children by, enforcing a if you touch it you clean it inside and out and I will know who touched it by your finger prints on it.
6 kids and the weapons never had finger prints on them; I did have friends who asked to see them but I always said no. I'm not cleaning it so you can take a look.

They still do the buy one get one, but it's $169-200 now. And the mag carrier is no longer free.

I hate to disappoint, but I think for right now I'm going to go with small, simple, keyed box. I just need to keep toddler fingers away.

Just make sure it's child friendly. Ask them "Is this gun safe suitable for use by children under the age of six?" When you call them. They'll love that.

Sorry to disappoint, but for immediate protection I went inexpensive and fool proof. I'll do more research and get something better in awhile.

I’ve always told my kids not to tell their friends I own guns. Even now he’s going to be 21 and I just told him the other day not to be telling too many of his friends about my guns. Some of his friends want to go shooting so I said yes but I don’t want random people knowing.
