Posted Signs

Earlier today while hunting I walked a section of my line and saw that nearly all my Posted Signs have been torn down. While I suspect i know who did it I don't have evidence. Anyone else have a similar situation and what did you do other than reposting and setting up trail cameras?

I remember someone posting about trespassers on their hunting blind and disregarding private property signs.

Make it so it’s very difficult or visible to get to the posted signs. I’d get the hard plastic ones and make a wood frame to secure them so it’s nearly impossible to remove them. Use star bits and regular Phillips head screws. I just did this on a project to make it hard for some one to get at something I don’t want people to get at.

I do have the hard plastic signs and also have a wood frame for them. I like the idea of screwing them in. This really pisses me off because I'm almost certain it's the neighbors. I don't trespass on them and go out of my way to respect their property. Even look the other way when if I find a gut pile near the line (deer could've been shot on their side died on mine...I'm not going to be an ass and say that they can't get their deer). It's just that one section. Really irritates me.

all the Posted signs i see around here . its just a sign .. POSTED .. the spot for the name of the owner is faded off or not filled out to contact most of the time ..

i would like to contact and meet the owner of land if the info was there ..

I remember the guy was hunting on your property last year so yeah it’s likely them. It’s bullshit and I would tell them that they do not have permission to be on your property and since the CCIA it is now a felony. I would tell them pictures will be taken and the police will be called. That might get their attention, but likely won’t make friends that way.

Actually it's on the other side of the property and a different neighbor that I think is doing it. The other guy seems to have been ok.

Oh. Good luck I know this can be very aggravating. We’ve had some issues on our property and I’ve had some issues at my house.

If you screw or nail tight to the tree I'll guarantee they'll be off within 2 years. Trees grow, nails and screws don't.

some land near me been watching for years...they seem to deer hunters so I was able to find a sign with the info to write a letter to them asking for permission to turkey hut spring only as fall I dont want to disrupt potentially deer patterns and offer my labor for help/payment in consideration...fix fences....brush hog...whatever needed but never got a response...but it was nice to have the info to ask a landowner for permission. I agree nice when that info filled out vs just left blank or just a name I see sometimes too.

Years ago I had a stand set up near the property line and then all of a sudden, the neighbors shifted the line in a tight arc around my stand and tore it down! Rotten Basterds.
