Pre 64 Winchester Question

I have a pre 64 winchester model 75 22lr. Its a real nice collectable rifle but its missing its front an rear sight. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where i can buy the sights for it? I believe it had Lyman sights on it but dont want to buy the wrong model for it. Any info would help.

You can start here I believe. It’s looks to be in stock. Not the front sight though

I've restored several of these over the years, and as far as getting the sights, you will probably have the best luck on EBay. Is it a 75 target or sporter.? if target, check this out...

I think its a sporter i dont remember seeing a T for target next to the name on the barrel. What sights did they come with?

Easy to tell. The Sporter version had a front ramp sight that was integral with the barrel (swaged into it, and cannot be removed) also and most telling is the word "Sporting" stamped into magazine floorplate. Also the Sporting version had a nicely checkered stock with a slimmer profile than the target version. Target version has a larger , beavertailed wide stock with a flat buttplate, also a barrel band. Here's a minty 75 Sporter from Jack the Dog..Target version is a different animal.
