I don’t think this will be the last attempt

question - god forbid they succeed, but if they do, what happens then with the election?

Does Vance become the nominee, does the GOP need to bring in another candidate or does the election get postponed/cancelled?

To me it is a big concern - let’s say they succeed 1 week before the election…………then what happens

Election process continues. The RNC will try to replace him the very same day. The states will all fight about it. SCOTUS will choose the next president, maybe resulting in civil war.

I don't think it will be decided directly by the court. More likely some case won't have standing or something.

After the election but before inauguration, it would be hard to say that wouldn't go to Vance, but the states and RNC/DNC will still fight it all the way to SCOTUS.

He is a felon so he should have not been able to pass a NICS at any dealer regardless. My statement about Florida being a free state was in reference to F2F transactions. Its completely legal for someone to buy from a guy selling out of his trunk in a Walmart parking lot. As long as he didn't tell the seller he was a felon there would be little recourse for that transaction.
I am curious at what point the serial number was obliterated, if done with say a center punch vs grinding it will be very difficult for LE to restore the number.

It works that way out here too.

You can occasionally find a guy here or there at a gun show selling off some personal firearms who doesn't have an FFL, so he couldn't run the check if he wanted to.

But, that's usually just a couple pre-WWII rifles or something.

But, that doesn't change the fact that it's not legal unless both parties are residents of the same state. So any lefties who think he could just buy one are wrong.
