I was born in Poughkeepsie but lived most of my life in Sullivan County. In my adult life, one of the few times I ever felt truly unsafe and almost went to pull my gun was in the City of Poughkeepsie. For the record it was just off the Walkway Over the Hudson. And in broad daylight. That's the type of city Po-Town has become.
