Schumer Claims China Was ‘Humiliated’ by Spy-Balloon Scandal​

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) claimed Sunday that the Chinese spy-balloon scandal, in which Beijing gained access to U.S. airspace for a week—including over an intercontinental-ballistic-missile site—was ultimately a net loss and embarrassment for Beijing.​

After apprehending the surveillance balloon over Montana, the U.S. government tracked it for five days, allowing it to drift over U.S. and Canadian airspace for a total of eight days before finally shooting it down over the Carolina coast last Saturday.

“I think the Chinese were humiliated,” Schumer said on ABC’s This Week. “I think the Chinese were caught lying. I think it’s a real step back for them.”

Yeah - allowing a Chinese craft to drift over the entire continental USA unrestricted, then shooting it down off the east coast. Boy - that's sending a serious message! And how did the Chinese respond? By apologizing? No. By disavowing any knowledge? No. By criticizing the US for grossly overreacting and then demanding that their property be returned to them immediately? Yeah - that's it.

Fuckle Chuckle doesn't seem to grasp the fact that the Chinese got ALL their data linked to them, and probably had fried and scrambled all of the "valuable" electronics the instant they saw that Imbecile Joe's administration toadies decided they had better "DO SOMETHING" since the U.S. public was looking at them saying :wtf:

From that altitude and by design any data transmitted would easily have gone to one of their satellites, and onto China....who knows what they got, but you can bet it will be used against us.
If this (and the others) had been from N. Korea, or Russia, or any other Country, what would we have done?
Chuck Schumer is a grandstanding fucktard politician of the worst sort and there's damn little we can do about him.

Even though they denied the purpose, they already claimed it as their own and used western made equipment. They expected it to be shot down and recovered.

At least in part this was intended to send a message. Nothing about this humiliated them.

So, if it was the right call to let the first one float the whole length of the country before shooting it down, why have they shot the next 4 down immediately?

Weren't they too dangerous to shoot down too ? Or was the first one really not going to land on a school either ?

If the first one wasn't going to gather any Intel, how are the later ones going to ?
