SCR's

I was thinking of getting an SCR lower. What adaptor parts do you need to use existing uppers on one. Seems like the bolt carrier assembly would have to be swapped out, or at least the bolt itself. Is Flitelight the only manufacturer of these type guns? I looked at their sight and aren't very helpful. I have never seen one before and have zero knowledge of how any parts might be interchangeable. Do they make them for .308?

@Robin I believe the bolt carrier comes with the lowers. Mine was a complete rifle and I upgraded that upper. @dsdmmat may chime in he has more knowledge on them then I do

The bolt carrier come with the lower. All you have to do is transfer the bolt, bolt retaining pin, and firing pin. They only make them for ar15 sized uppers and calibers.

I have a few extra bolt carriers so I could build extra uppers to go with the lower. Handy to have, but they cost 199.00 bucks each.

I definitely immedialty replaced the upper as it came with the cheapest POS upper ever and I relearned the lefty lesson of 1976 in basic with hot brass down my shirt and in the crook of my right arm. Most uppers today have the A2 improvement for this isse thanks for the USMC program manager for the M16A2 being a lefty also.

I hate the trigger as its the worst of the worst. I just know when shooting groups, the pull is horrible on accuracy.

Then the other thing I would watch out for is when you assemble the upper to the lower, will the bolt pull back? Mine is always stuck. Seem the arm that comes from the shortened BCG will find a way to be jammed and not centered on the spring plunger but you will find this when you try to load a round anyways.

Seems like the order you close the retaining pins or holding the weapon upside down cures the lockup.

If you want a purdy stock for it, the 1100 stock works with a little fitting.

When I had mine, I was going to get an 1100 stock from Boyd's. Tried to order a wooden AR handguard to match. They wouldn't sell it to a NY address

As mentioned, the triggers are not that great. Apparently the second gen weren't quite as bad. Lot of videos on how to rework them and make them a little better
