Honestly can’t think I have… perhaps rumors of such around a natural disaster down south but that’s all I’ve got. I’m sure such events (deputized citizens) would be quite poorly reported on up here in the great blue northeast, though.
The only way forward is for law-abiding citizens to perform citizens arrests on the tyrants who are violating our rights.
Anytime one of those traitors sticks their heads out of their cushy child-porn rooms they are hit with citizens arrests.

So does that mean she can only be arrested in Albany County? Or, because her behavior affects all of NY, she can be arrested anywhere?
I am aware of this law, do you think her goon squad is going to let you do so? If you were deputized and had a badge it might be a different story.

In the technical sense, sheriffs are the natural power of State law enforcement. IMO local government should not be able to circumvent the power of sheriffs, nor should they be able to run their own cop shops unless the head cop of the town/city is an elected official.
That being said, sheriff offices have been suborned by the Feds and the States. Not completely, especially if they have an independent minded sheriff who builds and trains his deputies with an eye towards the US Constitution and his own state's constitution. Still, the fact that the Feds and states now wield vast law enforcement power over every policing agent, even the local yokel cops shops, indicates to me that its not an avenue that American citizens can fully trust or rely upon, especially in the next "emergency" where our Rights as a People and the Rule of Law will be turned upside down as happened during Operation WuFlu and the attendant lockdowns, business and church closures, Antifa/BLM coordinated riots/looting/arson/sabotage, bank and big business bailouts, a thoroughly rigged election in 2020 in numerous states (illegeal ballot harvesting, drop boxes getting loaded by the backpack full, mail in ballots, etc. in direct violation of the laws of several States), vax and mask mandates, and so on.
Don't forget that State and Fed agencies were (and still are) censoring and manipulating every online outlet, in direct violation of the 1st Amendment, through the entire covid farce!
And no one, NO ONE, in government has been held responsible for all that and more, because the citizens of this nation are spineless.
With all due respect to SomeSoldier, the established powers that be ought not to be trusted.
Of course, the citizenry that bowed down to Operation WuFlu have shown that they will bend over and ask for more, so there's that.
If only the Founders foresaw times like these, and encouraged citizen organizations to be prepared for the day their own government be came tyrannical... /sigh

I don't trust any government agency. The only reason I like Sheriffs are because we elect them but that doesn't mean they are not just as corrupt as the rest of government. I think this Sheriff is doing it correctly. I think most of our government can go. From Federal all the way down to local.

Understood, and not trying to disparage you in any way. My apologies if it seems I'm thread crapping, that is not my intent.
With the advent of JTTFs and Fusion Centers, I have little trust in any law enforcement agency or personnel. I respect Law & Order, but that notion is long gone with the Fed Coats running the show.
My motto for a long time now has been "government is not going to save us from itself." I don't believe the government as outlined in the US Constitution even exists any longer. Its words on paper, divorced from all practical meaning at this point as far as I'm concerned. Even the veneer of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" has been ripped off.
There are a few good people in office here and there I suppose, but that inkling that they dangle from puppet strings is just too much ingrained for me now given how many times so-called "patriotic" officials have turned out to be dirty.
The USSA is run by evil, depraved, fascist people, and most of the citizenry and culture follows them in cult-like fashion and are just as depraved.
Never took it as such and I look for people to respond the way you did, it helps to view things for all angles. I do agree that the fed has used our wealth as a tool to control all facets of government. Trust is earned not given.
