I thought the video part was ok. The cornell university profess not ok. Does that surprise anyone though. Liberal professors. I thought it was nice they showed how low the usage rate was in crimes, but then the plug about well the regulation works. How well are the other regulations working so no that's not the reason.

Didn't like the video at all. The sound levels of every shot were modified and it didn't give an accurate portrayal of what a suppressor/silencer really is like.

Agree you can not get a true representation of sound via a mic and an audio engineer who is paid to tweak said sound for desired effect what ever that effect may be.

I have used them in the past, they are fun. Like stated, good for many reasons. I am a bit amazed at how many are fascinated by them, thats all.

If they were not restricted, I'm pretty sure economy of scale would drive the prices down. Also, they wouldn't have to be built to last forever.

Your going to get distortion even without purposely monkeying with the tech end of things.

I really have no interest in a pistol one. I can see where the noise savings for indoor shooting would be beneficial.

I really want one for my bench gun or and long range rifle I have. I much rather tame the rifle with a can than brake. I also would love to have one for any MSR's I may or may not have. The idea of being able to shoot these quietly with almost eliminating recoil is appealing to me.

I would love one for the rifle I hunt with. It's the loudest rifle I've ever shot and every time you shoot it is without hearing protection. It doesn't bother you at the time because you're running on adrenaline but they'll be ringin a bit later.

I agree with you. It's pipe dream that I doubt we will ever see here. If I had my choice between this and a full feature MSR with 30rd mags, I wouldn't choose the silencer. Like I said if they ever were legal I would look into them for the applications I stated above.

Every time I shoot without ear pro (hunting) my ears ring - especially with the muzzleloader. I'd love to be allowed to hunt with a suppressor.

Supressors is the largest growing market in the firearms industry. The numbers stagering.

I try to be considerate to my neighbors, if I didn't have to worry about the noise so much, I'd put a spotlight on a target and be out at 11pm sometimes....

If the $200 tax went away, you'd see lots of semi disposable suppressors, in the $30-40 range. At that point, who wouldn't have one in every caliber ?

I just thought the video was interesting and I was surprised that there was even a good side in the video.
Also my father in law went to Germany and they had Walther for like $50.00 or something ridiculous like that. Now that was like 8-10 years ago, but he still tells the story. So I do feel if they remove the restrictions and there are more people buying them the money they command will drop.
