Probably just a few choice words while installing it, lol. That's how it was for me, not so "drop in", but I got it installed and it so far seems like a real nice trigger so no regrets. Way smoother than a GI trigger.
Is that the one with the metal handle? This year at shot show we checked out probably 10 of them all differant companies and that was the nicest out of all of them

Just decided to buy some upgrades for my Remington 597 HB. I have to say this is one of my favorite rifles. Not only is it cool looking, but it's super smooth out of the box and is very, VERY accurate. Unfortunately it has some weak points. One is the extractor, which I replaced immediately before I even fired a round through it and the other, is the magazine. I have since owning this rifle, qualified as Rifleman at two separate Appleseed events. The only issues I have had with this rifle during those events has been magazine related. Now I know 22lr is dirty, but I even had a brand new "upgraded" mag at my last shoot that caused failures to feed both with the bolt riding over top of the next round and not chambering and trying to chamber the next round vertically resulting in a bent bullet and dented casing and lost time on my AQT target. So. I found an aftermarket magazine from United Defense sold by Keep Shooting that is supposed to be a superior 597 mag. Remington 597 Magazine - Brand New, 10-Round Magazine | Keep Shooting I ordered two mags at this point. We'll see how they compare. The other upgrade I purchased, and I'm not so sure I needed this, is the Volquartsen Target hammer. Volquartsen - Remington 597 Target Hammer - VCRTH 810162011321 | eBay It's supposed to reduce trigger pull by 50%. The stock trigger isn't bad at all, so if this is an actual improvement over that....hells yeah! Anyway, here's to eating Ramen for a week.

Received my first upgrade for my future Ruger PC9 carbine today. It's the Taccom3g magazine funnel.
