Never, ever, paid any attention to a loaded chamber indicator on any of my pistols.I like my loaded chamber indicator but the other ones they can keep. It will not pass
The "features" cited as necessity for "safety" (which is dog whistle for prohibition excuses) truly are Red Herrings, and I expect the real meat is in the Feds prohibiting evil features as disqualifies for purchase or ownership, THAT'S what the "Roster" stands for, and I expect there will also be registration requirements in the Bill, I don't expect it to mean much for New Yorkers as the only real disqualifying features of Handguns are weights over 51 ounces, threaded muzzles, and magazines inserted outside of the pistol grip...get 'em started now, so that IF Republicans/Conservative Right takes all three levers of power, it'll be ready to enact.Never, ever, paid any attention to a loaded chamber indicator on any of my pistols.
"Know the status of your firearm." Rack the slide. Do a press check. Whatever you want to do. I have no need for some miniscule additional extension on my extractor that tells me anything about the status of my chamber.
As for magazine blocks...screw those! If I am forced to fire the last chambered round while I'm reloading and the mag well is empty I should be able to do so. Being "blocked" from activating the trigger without a magazine is unsafe in a self defense situation.
