In a local fb group a guy posted about his Dad’s guns being stolen. I told him I’d share here. He lives in Bloomfield which is about 30 miles south of Rochester

Just saw this on Facebook...thas sorta our backyard......very detailed list and that..I hope he gets them back.......no questions just returned......
my father in law had some long guns stolen YEARS ago in Westmoreland area when the VOLUNTEER Fire dept was in to pump out their basement during a flooding situation in the spring. just tucked them under the long coats and say Goodbye........
Sad...but people will take anything not nailed down..

from what i understand they would need to know the FFL they did the 4473 at and a close date of purchase for them to did up the paperwork ..
I guess my sarcasm wasn't evident.
I meant the 4473 the criminals used to transfer the stolen guns to themselves.

And now I’ve been reading that Honeoye Lake Area has had a lot of house break-ins and every one of them had guns stolen. It seems like they’re starting to target the houses that have them
