I understand the arguments for abortion even though I don't agree with them. I have a real problem with the way the pro "choice" side bastardizes the English language. Take the banner that Chuckie Schumer is talking in front of. It talks about "reproductive rights" but their choice results in the opposite of reproduction. And the phrase "pro-choice" purposely obscures what the choice actually is about. It's simply a conversation stopper.

Q: I see you're pro-choice. What are you choosing to do exactly?

A: shut up.

I'd have more respect if they would just come right out and say what they want instead of hiding behind purposely vague language. But I suspect the language used is deliberately designed to overlook the actual result and focus on the word games.

I’m one of those. People earn the death penalty and they ended someone else’s life to get there. Letting people sit in prison for life they could kill a guard or another inmate, I’m just proactively saving lives by killing those that earned it. That’s like saying you’re pro life you shouldn’t defend yourself. We’re not saying we’re pacifists.

It's pretty obvious that pro life refers to the beginning of life and the abortion debate. Unless you are being deliberately obtuse and engaged in sophistry.

It's pretty obvious that pro-choice means the right to choose to have an abortion or not. The term has been around 40+ years. You're being deliberately obtuse if you don't recognize that.

Was in a nice town in Orange County today that might be a little left of center. Let's just say "artsy"... was behind a car with a bunch of bumper stickers. Couldn't help but reflect on the hypocrisy of the "Never Going Back Again" with picture of coat hanger above the "Hurt an Animal Go to Jail". Nice enough people but they're batshit crazy IMHO...

It's the right to determine when you reproduce.

Both terms (pro-life and pro-choice) are gotcha terms. Nobody is going to label themselves anti-choice or anti-life. They are both schmarmy terms to misdirect any actual logical argument.

By killing an unborn baby. The exact opposite of reproduction. More word games to deflect the truth

Birth control allows you to determine when you reproduce. Abortion eliminates reproduction. Pretty straightforward.

Murdering babies is pretty universally reviled in nearly every culture. The few that accept it are viewed as barbarous.

But, just a couple weeks earlier and we celebrate it ?

What are we, Aztecs ? Should we build the abortion clinics on top of pyramids and throw the parts down to waiting crowds ?
