Also, my brother was discriminated against on the grounds of Affirmative Action almost without a doubt when applying to med schools. Kid had a near perfect GPA from an Ivy League school. Graduated with honors as well. But I guess since he wasn't the right skin color, no one school would take him out of the (I think 12-15 total?) bunch. To this day, all he does is read medical textbooks. He's not even a student. Absolute garbage what happened to him. Devastated him as well.

I wonder what grounds for a lawsuit this opens for those people against the schools that obviously discriminated against good applicants like that? I hope they get sued the fuck out of for what they did to good people.

You’d have to prove why he was not accepted and if at the time it was legal he has no recourse if it’s overturned. I h e no doubt my son. Would have received a lot more scholarship money had he have been a different race.

And no, chances are 99.9% of woman would not pass the tests to be in a police or military elite unit.

At the other hand they will Excel in other very important and necessary roles.

Affirmative Action was wrong all of those years ago when it was first placed into practice.

If people are kept down, this is done by the choices they made. There should be no hiring preferences. None.

Apply for a job, apply for a loan or apply for college; if you are good enough, good. If not, you are passed up.

There should be no points or special provisions for any one group of people for employment, college or anything else.

Pure racism.

Equality of outcomes doesn't equal the quality of candidates for any position. Meritocracy should always win VS any system revered for equal outcomes

Just remove "race" as a box on the application.
For true equality also remove "gender".

Let their merits stand for themselves.

If a candidate is good enough to get an interview, then suddenly they "aren't good enough" you have standing based on "-ism" to complain.

Unless it is a job where they physically cannot do the work. which is easy enough to prove. Have a demonstration of the job requirements and see if they can do it.

What all these SCOTUS rulings are doing are pushing everything back to the States which brings into light where all the true Ant-American, Racists Assholes are. Look at how certain States defy SCOTUS rulings lately. Love this!!

If states continue to defy the constitution, then their inhabitants basically prisoners. And while prisoners may comply here and there, the moment the opportunity is available to defy the guards, they will.

Agreed. Don't even have candidates' names on the paper portion of the application. Let them select applications completely on their merits. No racial discrimination, no gender discrimination, no name recognition at all.

Before/when hiring someone I would have to know their gender.
We are not built the same. That makes a difference in some jobs.
Let's not get crazy here. LOL

I would also want to know the race of the person. It's the world we live in.
I didn't create that world but I have to live and work in it. And before someone calls me a racist it's more complex than that. Duh

In the interest of keeping this vague, I know of a “public safety” organization which requires an academy that is fairly physically demanding. And rightfully so as the job is as well. Lives could depend on your physical abilities. There have been a number of new hires that were struggling badly and would not have made it through the academy and gotten appointed to their job. The individual in charge of training was told by much higher ups that certain individuals would not, under any circumstances be getting bounced out of the academy. They were to pass no matter what it took. The individual in charge of training put in for a transfer after this incident.

A guaranteed public education is in the US Constitution..but that is it..................... and most do not know how to read today or do that hated "poision" math.

If you want to get into Harvard today, you need to be a member of the Chinese Communist party.....................there are millions of Red Chinese students here, clogging up the racial discrimination quotas.

If we would do our job, and just deport the Red Chinese and the Illegal aliens, there would be room for people like 80% Letitia, Joe Biden, Kim Foxx and other Soros paid for dumbass so called lawyers/DA's and AG's to AGAIN buy a degree.

I like the dumbass incompetents in power, somewhat, and hope others like them will get another shot at being a fake failed Lawyer, like in the past.
