Eh, this seems like a pretty weak argument. "2A is a right, so firearms or firearm parts should be excluded from tariffs" is a cop-out.

The whole point of tariffs is to bring manufacturing to home soil. If that means increased prices for a while, that's fine... it's a cost of implementing good policy. Seeking to exclude the items that we buy is somewhat hypocritical.

If he wanted to really protect them, he would take the fact that gun ownership is a federally protected civil right serioualy and have the DOJ prosecute *any* state or local officials who violate it.

There's even a special federal statute to use when that is done "under color of law".

Don't fuck around with lawsuits about laws.

Just send some FBI or US Marshalls to arrest any prosecutor charging any of the unconstitutional statutes.

Give that a month or so, then start arresting police officers who make any arrests on any of those statutes.

And don't just arrest, prosecute, all the way. Long federal prison terms.

Same for any legislators who vote for any new laws that violate those rights. There's no exception in federal law or the constitution for state legislators.

Treat it the same way you would if they'd passed a law outlawing worship of Allah.

Most people can`t afford to buy what is made here. To many people think they should make 30 to 40 bucks an hour making cheeseburgers. I can`t even imagine what things will cost after the tariffs are done. Anyone is foolish to think things will be cheaper to make in the USA after this.

I`ll take your word for it spat. As of right now, i see a totally different (future) view of it, but i totally respect what you`re saying here. We can only hope all this shit works out for the better. I`m just not sure at the moment, who it works out for, better. Time will tell fer sure.

The Constitution can be changed and it requires a very high bar to do it. Two-Thirds of the Senate and Three-Quarters of the states. That is the only path and one that ensures a super majority vote. Everything else is a violation of both the amendment and the process.

Trump and all his political capital are numb to gun rights. We are a huge part of his base that has been shunned. Alot of his executive orders should be codified when you have alot of political capital. I guess we shall see come Midterms if Rinos can be nullified by a hopeful landslide.

All we need is the Trump majority on the Supreme Court to take up cases and actually rule on them instead of messing around and saying well next year. Take case, rules, set precedent and enforce it

The 2A gas been in trouble since before the original ink was dried. Less than 30 days after the ratification, gun laws were being passed.

The 2A, the 1A and others are under constant attack, these attacks will not end, regardless of the president. In time, we will lose more and more of our Rights.

This will be due to the pathetic majority of Americans.
