Obama wasted $10 million of our tax dollars on this study. Every single person with half a brain could have told you what the results would be without spending a dime.

But I'm sure the study was somehow flawed...

OK great. The study is done. Guns are used in self-defense more often than not and most of the gun related deaths are suicides which if a gun wasn't readily available another method would be. As far as you, I and everyone who supports the 2A is concerned the case is closed. The problem, though, is that it isn't for the gun grabbers.

Personally, I think the CDC should stick to studying germs and how to prevent and cure illnesses but I like to think that most people who work for that agency are professionals and this was a professionally done study with repeatable results and peer reviewed (though even peer review anymore can promote political bias). Give it time though. A Bloomberg-Soros funded study will come out in a few months saying the opposite and the antis will snap their fingers and chant "See! See! See! Guns really are the problem!"

In short, you can commission a study to show any sort of findings you want if you have enough money and can find a like-minded scientist/researcher to put together a study with the proper parameters.

What? You mean that someone who is armed and confronted by an aggressor is less likely to be as seriously injured as someone unarmed confronted by an aggressor? No way! I'd have never, ever, guessed that. Wow! Amazing things can be found when the government spends a lot OF OUR MONEY!

That's what I was trying to figure out. Was it commissioned in 2013 and then finally reported.

I went looking for this report all I can find are references for 2013 and 2015.

the "latest" report ... not a "recent report " or the report released on xx/xx/xx
