The NRA Loses One Million Members

I'm an NRA member. Not going anywhere. My eyes have been opened to their wasteful spending and greedy attitude. I'm still not going anywhere. I'm actually diversified with GOA and 1791 in Erie County.

I'd like to think that a million members just sent a message to piss poor leadership and hopefully they'll pull their heads out of their asses.

The 5th column media has also done a great propaganda job on the NRA.

I also see a million sunshine patriots who signed up when it best suited them.

I hope the million who quit voted in recent elections. NY gun owners certainly didn't.

Nope.

The only reason for the BoD keeping Wayne and his cronies around at this point has to be because they believe getting rid of him and cleaning house would be more damaging to the NRA corporation and to BoD members themselves. Something very big has not yet come to light.

One million members so far.

I'm a life member and then some. I'm not quitting. But I had been paying for my wife's membership year to year. I'm done with that.

I don't think anything will change without outside persuasion. This will likely be the removal of Wayne and the board and the appointment of an administrator.

I don't remember. It may have been The Reload. Or Tom Gresham.

Was also stated by NRA president, but I didn't believe him. I believe Gresham and Gutowski.

I have a feeling this is why NYSRPA has done ZERO victory laps or fundraising after the Bruen win. The case was theirs in name only so NRA would have standing, but NRA got to claim the victory as a fundraising tool - without competition from NYSRPA.

Let me expand the sentence to make it a really good talk:

"I'm not sure if the NRA took credit for paying for this lawsuit as they tend to be nothing more than fair weather blowhards that can't wait to claim victory as the ball crosses into the end zone and turn tail and leave their members out to dry if they do much as organize a peaceful protest, and as such whether or not they kicked a few bucks to the suit is as irrelevabt as the other bingo board space of 'but they paid for some repairs/ammo for my range."

They have no purpose and they're dead to me. Useless money grabbers.

I think They turned their backs on us because they need states like NY and our laws to keep donations pouring in from other locations. They probably conducted a study and realized they will get more money if people have something to fear. So they are totally content sacrificing us for their interests. "donate to the NRA so you don't end up like NY" while in reality what they should have done was fight like hell against safe in the first place which would have been huge to stop this bs in it's tracks in the beginning.

Nope. Piss off.

From a legislative, political and public relations standpoint they do nothing for New York. It's not that they can't. They see 2A as a partisan issue and absolutely, positively will not talk with Democrats.

They have some value with legal actions, but I think either SAF or FPC could easily take that over. Their primary asset is through E&T.

Like some of you I'm a lifetime member. I'm not planning on quitting either but I'm also on the list of those who will never give them another penny.

This is another reason why their donations will continue to decline and they're too stupid to see why. At some point the number of members quitting will stop but even after that happens the money will stop coming in because they've screwed up so bad that nobody will donate anymore

I read somewhere that the NRA was somehow behind or involved in or with the NYSRPA success in the recent Bruen decision. I'm too lazy to google it...

I was an NRA member for a looong time but let my membership lapse a few years ago. I didn't re-up due to all of the NRA insider bullshit. Plus it didn't seem like they were doing anything for gun owners here in NY State. Lately the NRA seems to be about DOA. I hope they reorganize, get their shit all in one pile, and start fighting the good fight again.
