pretty cool marketing ploy for the lazy people that can't put their own together. I like the concept of it even though I have three of these set ups made by scratch and my 20 what panels are much smaller and foldable and mine all fits into one good size waterproof ammo can, but it is a good idea in case some of you have nothing prepared. thought I'd pass this along.

Way over priced at 500$ or so..but for the lazy peeps or not technically advanced peeps or money to burn peeps...

Waaay to high! Aand it's 16aH lithium! Not even a real lead acid..for the fake preppers.

One of mine I made I used 16aH lawnmower lead acid W/ 20 watt foldable solar panel with all the cables to connect more, total price $47 with USB connectors and everything that that thing had.

I have a similar older model from Renogy, and it was a second, if I remember correctly I paid about $300. It's a nice compact unit that will do duty for charging up cellphones and portable radios. I have other solar panels and battery/charger controller units, but the Renogy is well thought out, compact, and worth the money, if you can buy a factory second, there's no way I'd pay full price for one of those. For camping it's ideal.

The Renogy model that I have is the Firefly. What I like about it is that I can give it to my wife or whomever and they can intuitively use it. My home built unit is more complicated, and I prefer to be the one using it. The Renogy is compact, well built, and it does look cool.

I took a plastic bin and put a deep cycle batter in it. Voltage regulator, 12v plugs, 4 usb ports and a 400w inverter. Charges from A/C, car or solar. I use a 45w triple solar panel array to charge it. It provides 180 minutes of 12v power at 25amp. I wouldn't call it portable, more for travel by auto. Works great for charging flashlight batteries, mp3 players and phones while hiking.

Cool concept but a Pelican case filled with you're own solar array and batteries is better I think. I'd like to eventually put together something similar but for the time being I have 200a x 2 alternators x 2 925cca batteries @24V coming from my truck that will run on motor oil, tranny fluid, etc.
