I'm well stocked with supplies. Most money has been out of the bank account for a while now.
I use a wood burning stove for heat. Lots of ammo and a bad attitude. Blah blah blah.
But it would really suck if a cyber attack on critical infrastructure attack happened.
I don't like the fact that we now have the Potato and Chief being the front man.
And not knowing who is actually making the calls.
The USA is not in a good place right now.

Russia might genuinely do it, the deep state might genuinely attack ourselves... It really doesn't matter because it won't make much difference who attacked us the results and impact will be the same.

The covid charade really changed my perspective. My wife has FOX on often and all the blatant Ukrainian propaganda and war mongering really agitate me. The press releases are intentionally vague since Congress and regulators have placed them under close scrutiny. We'll see if they over celebrate the quicker return to service than initially projected and at least identify the short term repairs and replacements completed.
Contractors oft involved in either independent "Equipment Failure Evaluations" or "Team Root Cause Analysis" for the industry hinted the data collection phases are already focused on data equipment / hardware maintenence practices / schedules and common mode single failure design intolerance based on what they called an informal "Preliminary Apparent Analysis".
It looks like a formal report would be finished next month. I imagine we'll hear what the failed equipment was pretty soon and I'll post it here. I'll just be parroting what I find since I am not that familiar with PTC architecture.
Based on the Monday failure timing, I assumed the forecasted uptick in solar activity screwed up satellites used for train control and the system fell apart. Apparently it is less esoteric equipment failures.
