I hope someone bombs one of the Iran threads.
If only congressionally declared wars count, we haven't fought a war since 1945.No. Not necessarily.
To your point though, Congress is the only entity to DECLARE war. The President is authorized in Section 2 of the US Constitution for acts of self defense.
And, do not get me wrong, I am 100% against this action. This is NOT our fight or our responsibility.
Depends on the circumstances and current political climate.if someone bombed the US, would we consider it war?
Congress basically gave POTUS a 60 day window to do what he wants with the war powers act.POTUS has the Right to Command attacks and take Military actions, however only Congress can declare War...that said, Congress being the pussies they are left Iraq to Bush to take us unto War.
Congress being the self-serving, feckless, scum they are, would take months or even years to do anything and it would amount to nothing...We've warned Iran for decades NOT to develop nuclear weapons while the wink-wink, nod-nodded the fission material was for "Energy Production" I'm surprised it took this long, but considering the fucktards that have occupied the White House since Reagan, it's no surprise the only President to actually do what he said and promised actually did it.

No they dont. like 10%They stop 90+% of the dangerous incoming missiles.
They don't waste ammo on ones that aren't going to hit anything important.
Nobody advertises the iron dome as impenetrable, 90+% is pretty damn good.
There are a lot of ways of calculating that statistic.I have been reading, with the current situation, the dome is only stopping 74%
Just merge the threads so that there can be peace
What thread discussing this topic is considered the "official" thread?
This thread or the other thread in the off-topic section?
When "someone" destroyed the twin towers the US considered it an act of war. What would we have done if they took out our nuclear facilities.
If someone had the capability of taking out the Cheyenne mountain complex, what *could* we do LOL.When "someone" destroyed the twin towers the US considered it an act of war. What would we have done if they took out our nuclear facilities.
Really? That would seem to be the very definition of war.Bombing is not war....
You should have demanded an unconditional merger. I couldn't wait for the negotiation.I posted this below 8 days ago.
I just thought I'd mention it.
Yes. If anything they will expedite any tests. You think rocket man will be testing nuke missiles anymore?
We call lots of things a war. This is true. We began a "War" of terror.... Did not declare war though.
POTUS has the nuclear Football: He doesn't need permission from Congress or to even notify then, if and when he takes action...That said, only Congress has the power to declare War (even though the President either started or pulled us into one with his actions)Congress basically gave POTUS a 60 day window to do what he wants with the war powers act.
Fully committing the US military to an objective for 60 days, if you weren't in a war before you would be then, assuming there's anyone left to fight.
Really? That would seem to be the very definition of war.
Our law does actually define war. Intentionally I would bet.Not according to our laws.
Thats the official story. Looks a hell of a lot worse on the ground. Some of those missles were hypersonic, un interceptable some of those missles were cluster munitions that opened up outside the range of the interceptors causeing a hell of a lot of damage on the ground.Iron Dome efficacy has been put at 94% of incoming missiles that were headed for populated areas were intercepted. Only 26 Iranian missiles in total have evaded the counter-missile system to strike the ground. This does not include missiles headed for vacant areas, which are not intercepted per the Iron Dome system. And UAV interception has been closer to 99%.
I was wondering that myself. If we hit enriched uranium sites: Is there any measurable radiation leakage at these locations?
