If only congressionally declared wars count, we haven't fought a war since 1945.
But like so much else, congress has delegated their authority to the executive via the war powers act.
Congress critters are allergic to doing their job or actually making decisions.

Congress basically gave POTUS a 60 day window to do what he wants with the war powers act.
Fully committing the US military to an objective for 60 days, if you weren't in a war before you would be then, assuming there's anyone left to fight.

There are a lot of ways of calculating that statistic.
Is that 74% of the missiles they attempted to destroy, 74% of all incoming missiles, etc...
Also, over what time frame ? 74% of missiles over a day, a week, or a 5 minute interval during a saturation attack ?
Depending on whether you want to make it look good, or look bad, you can do that math a lot of ways. You really have to adjust based on *who* is quoting that statistic.
A more useful statistic to military planners would be how many missiles would have to be launched against a target to get a 90% probability of a kill. In that respect the Iron dome likely forces Iran to expend 10x as many missiles as they would without it to hit a target.

These sorts of questions make the assumption that the US and Iran are equals. We are not.
If one street gang kills a leader of another gang, the other gang will probably kill some members of the first gang in retaliation.
If the police kill a gang leader, the gang is not going to just go out and kill a few cops in retaliation.
Because there is a massive disparity in power between the gangs and the cops. That isn't a war the gangs can win. All they can do is try to avoid drawing too much attention.
Iran doesn't seem to understand where they fall in this pecking order, Obama and Biden indulged them for far too long, and they mistake their inaction for a lack of ability to act.

Iron Dome efficacy has been put at 94% of incoming missiles that were headed for populated areas were intercepted. Only 26 Iranian missiles in total have evaded the counter-missile system to strike the ground. This does not include missiles headed for vacant areas, which are not intercepted per the Iron Dome system. And UAV interception has been closer to 99%.
Really? That would seem to be the very definition of war.

We call lots of things a war.
War on drugs, war on poverty, etc... it's almost cliche.
Certainly not every military action is a war.
Would be hard to call Grenada or Panama a war.
Kinda hard not to call Vietnam a war, but at the same time we *weren't* fully committed to it as a nation the way we were WWII.
If we had prosecuted Vietnam like a "real" war, the outcome would have been very different, likely with a lot fewer casualties on both sides.
Anyone not playing politics would say this was an act of war if executed on any NATO member.
POTUS has the nuclear Football: He doesn't need permission from Congress or to even notify then, if and when he takes action...That said, only Congress has the power to declare War (even though the President either started or pulled us into one with his actions)

Thats the official story. Looks a hell of a lot worse on the ground. Some of those missles were hypersonic, un interceptable some of those missles were cluster munitions that opened up outside the range of the interceptors causeing a hell of a lot of damage on the ground.

I was wondering that myself.
Is it enough to bomb the facilities if we can't actually recover the uranium or verify its destruction? It was enriched to at least 60% and enough of it for nine bombs if brought to weapons grade. I'd think that would still make for some decent dirty bombs. I wouldn't doubt if it was relocated given all the sabre-rattling.
