Its going to take more than an act of congress to save Ukraine now, it will take an act of God. The weapons that money buys will take months to reach the Ukraine. Its to late. I dont know the Russians might have something to say about that. The Ukraine army is in bad shape right now. They could be stock piling weapons and troops for a last push this summer or spring Like the Germans did , but I have doubts. Col Doug Mcgreggor likened the Ukraine army to the confederates at the end of the civil war , that they had no means of production and the Union army would not let them breathe , constantly pushing them forcing them to use resources. right now the Eastern Ukraine is without power. which makes simple things very hard , Like repairs , refrigeration, basic stuff, let alone production.
Tactically, the Russians are getting their shit together, I dont know if its the leaders, or they stole a page from our book, but thier use of combined arms operations has improved drastically. the Ukrainians cant stop them .Then you have the new tactics of drone swarms which is difficult to counter and which they have a production advantage .
One thing I dont hear a lot about is the quality of the Ukraine NCO's and officers. It takes time to produce good leaders , you dont conscript staff officers or Sargent majors , it takes time , and they have lost a lot of good NCO's and officers you cant just replace . A lot of the Ukraine units are down to 50-60% of troops, which is combat ineffective by our standards .
Rumors are that the Russians are massing men in Belarus , probably for a push towards Karkive would be my guess. I hear that this is the last real defensive line they have , thats its wide open farm lands to the Dnipro river , considering the shape of the Uki Army, lack of supplies and defensive positions, I wouldnt be shocked if we saw a retreat to better positions in the coming weeks .
I dont see any outs for Ukraine. theres no path to victory unless NATO jumps in and thats not likely . I think the war will be pretty much over by December

There are several YouTube channels that show numerous videos how Ukrainian men are being kidnapped off the streets by Ukrainian conscription personnel. This one is from Uzhgorod, which is in Western Ukraine. The wife of this man called the police, but they refused to intervene and only made out a report.
