The war is going very badly for both sides. Both sides are losing far more than they can tolerate and I think one of them will do something pretty stupid out of desperation, more likely Ukraine but time will tell. The true non propaganda casualties on both sides has to be enormous.
Maybe Belarus will open a new northern front. Maybe there will be a radiological incident.

Its going worse for Ukraine , desertions are over 20,000 according to Ukraine, probably twice that , it getting to be a big problem . Unit cohesion cant be kept with large numbers of desertions , one of the reasons the front lines are fragmenting , moral is bad, supplies are low , training is a minimum , rotation from the front is almost zero , fatalities are high. for the last month or two they have lost town after town with the exception of the kursk offensive The winter is comming and the supply lines will be even slower,
If the Russians take or encircle Pokrovsk it will be even worse. I think they are like 5 miles or so from it .
Strategically Russia has all the resources and manpower it needs , and it has allies providing extra munitions . It cant match the west in funds but it produces arms far cheaper . the attacks on Moscow are desperate, It wont affect the outcome of the war only enrage and solidify the Russians resolve.
I suspect, the Russians now have an entire army in reserve in case Poland or NATO decide they want to play , and the west is fully aware of it

Ukraine cannot sustain this.
I bet those dudes kidnapped off the streets and stuffed into vans get about a weeks worth of training, maybe train with 100 bullets and the they go to the front where they are probably totally ineffective and more of a liability than anything. They probably have a 50-75% casualty rate for their first month of service which is absurdly high.
It seems the only time Ukrainian units get rotated from the front for more than a day or 2 is if they get wounded and need medical attention.
Ukraine simply doesn't have the manpower to keep this up much longer. That leads me to my point of they are likely going to start doing some desperate things.

remember the German blitz in WW2 or the allied bombings in Germany. The people just became more determined to win and more convinced they had no other option but fight. This just looks like anger to me. It might help the guys in the trenches moral for a little while , but The destruction or surrender of the Ukraine army is inevitable.

Ukrainian tactics are based on wishful thinking. Russian people, oligarchs, generals will get angry at Putin for getting them into this and do a regime change. To be fair Russians are hoping for the same with Zelensky. The big difference, Putin is serving Russia's national interests. Zelensky doesn't serve Ukraine's.

The world is probably the most destabilized since the Cuban missile crisis and I don't think that comparison is hyperbole either. Our media is glossing over how bad things are and how much tension there is and how real the threat is because if the American people comprehended the situation they wouldn't be going along with the political push to incrementally get dragged into ww3 for politicians, bankers and American conglomerates to get rich.

Military-Industrial Complex is theorizing that Putin just talks and will not do anything in response to NATO's crossing the red lines. They have plenty of past examples. This narrative is well known and will be hard to back away from should there be a response. They will own it.
Direct war with Russia is the last thing I want to occur, but everything is pointing in that direction. There is a breaking point for everything and the blame will go to idiots in Washington and Brussels who play a game of chicken.

100% that's exactly what I am envisioning to happen.
"Look at the aggressor Russia, they launched an unprovoked attack upon ___________ base in ___________, they've now attacked NATO our defensive alliance and we must respond we can't show weakness in the face of this unprovoked attack".
And 75% of western citizens will buy it hook line and sinker. We're all being setup and there are people who absolutely will not comprehend Russia is justified in using their weapons to attack NATO assets which are being used to kill Russians.
Make the same analogy, if we are at war with Canada or Mexico and Russia gives Russian weapons to our enemy and Russians provide the Intel, targeting and live data, and Russian advisors assist the entire command and control and logistics function and the Canadians are using this to kill American military and civilians we would lose our shit and be screaming to attack the Russian logistics links. Well, the shoe is on the other foot And our media is silent And most people have no idea of critical thinking and seem incapable of drawing their own conclusions.

Unfortunately, I agree. I am really hoping Trump pulls aid and goes sees Putin himself and works things out at the conference table.
The right thing to do is to have the US/NATO quit antagonizing Russia and make amends like real men.

Thye most obvious target would be the radar sights , Blinding Russia to any incoming strike . A first strike on Russian nuclear sites becomes possible. They are insane if they try this .

I don't think its coincidence that 1 or 2 of Russias over the horizon early warning radars have already been knocked off line.
Russians are good at intercepting communications over Ukraine. Remember the infamous Nuland (fuck the EU) tape. All of these sophisticated weapons systems are operated by people who speak non-Ukrainian languages. Putin also made this point in the past and the West, while not admitting it, didn't really push back. The West didn't deny it, because Russians have the recordings to prove it.
