Its so discouraging that it pushes me to weigh my options out of state which means leaving family behind. I really dont want to leave for work and family, but if all these laws they are talking about go through, and are left to stand, I couldnt imagine staying here where my kids would end up planting their roots, with no rights.

Out of the blue my daughter figured it out for herself. I was surprised when some of her friends weighed in agreeing. The common denominator for them is student debt vs free education for non residents.

And lack of decent jobs......

My mission is to get them moved out even if I get stuck here.

I get that, there is a nation wide issue where the socialist left has leapt forward and our rights are being eroded. And if trump doesnt build a wall he is toast in 2020, we will get a leftist and things will get far worse for our lifetimes, and our childrens.

There are still some strongly conservative states that have a chance, but none that have large cities.

I rented the 2 bedroom, in part for the extra room, but also because I am openly encouraging my kids to move here from WNY. They can live with me while they get established if they decide to leave NY state behind.

As for my ex wife, - I don't give a shit about her. She can stay there. In fact, I really hope she does.
